We recently had our first child, and we had wavered back and forth whether we wanted to have a Doula. After meeting Eve, we instantly felt supported and that working with her as our Doula was the right choice for us.

In the weeks leading up to my due date, Eve visited us multiple times to check in on how we were doing, go over helpful tips and tricks to prepare us for labour at home and birth of our child, and when needed, she offered a relaxing massage!

When it was finally time to go to the hospital, Eve arrived before us and made sure the room was fully setup to my liking. Mood lighting with candles, beverages to keep me hydrated, and helped me relax into my space. This was huge for me as it took away a lot of nerves and helped me try and focus on active labour.

Eve was also another voice in the room advocating on my behalf. Whether it was warm blankets, more fluids, alerted staff to any important changes, she was there, taking that burden off my shoulders. When I was finally ready to push, she never left my side and helped me through until finally our son was born.

My partner and I could not have been happier that we were able to have Eve there as our Doula. We know that the experience and hardships we faced would have been so much harder on us without Eve by our side.

If you are considering bringing a Doula into your care team, Eve is one of the best out there and you will not be disappointed.

What a wild ride the first year of parenting is! Here we find ourselves, exactly one year ago to the day that Eve met us at the hospital to journey alongside us as we laboured and delivered our beautiful, strong daughter into the world. Eve helped us to feel calm, grounded and prepared in the month leading up to our daughter’s arrival. We will never forget how warm and reassuring Eve’s text or email check-in’s were in the final weeks of pregnancy- reminders to take a deep breath, to trust our parent’s intuition, and to trust everything would unfold exactly as it was meant to. Eve felt like a wise older sister, or mother, guiding us with so much love, encouragement and intention.

Eve was a wonderful addition to our birthing team- she came prepared with our birth plan, advocated for our wishes, made sure we were both taken care of, followed our lead and never wavered in her support. Her TENS machine, hip squeezes, confident encouragement and deep presence were all helpful pieces in having a strong, empowered birth experience. We especially appreciated Eve’s experience and steady presence as labour progressed through the night. Our daughter ultimately decided to be birthday buddies with Eve – a really special connection we’ll always have to Eve.

In early postpartum Eve came over to visit and gifted us an adorable baby jungle animal milestone book, a journal, and a USB with our labour/delivery photos. The photos are so deeply special to us- we’re grateful Eve was there to capture these life changing moments and the very beginning moments of our family. This testimonial would feel incomplete without mentioning that Eve is a baby whisperer- our daughter slept soundly in her arms when she visited- officially making all three of us feel safe and loved in Eve’s presence.

Eve was a wonderful doula! She supported my partner with what he could do to help support. She supported us with a plan that we both felt comfortable with, and provided many examples and tools to relax us during labour.

Our birth didn’t go as planned (as they often don’t), and Eve supported us to adapt and see the positive in everything. She was flexible, personable, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. We are so grateful for Eve! I’d highly recommend her. She made us feel as prepared as we could for bringing home our baby, and we will never forget all her support
